Como automatizar uma pressão de tecla no AppleScript?

É possível automatizar o pressionamento de uma tecla (como "a" ou "<") no Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome ou Safari (nesta ordem)? Eu gostaria de automatizar o pressionamento de tecla "a", por exemplo, no Mozilla Firefox, por 100 vezes a cada xsegundo. Com xsendo um valor entre 1 segundo e 10 segundos escolhidos aleatoriamente em cada tecla. Que Applescript poderia fazer o truque?
