em http://www.smartmontools.org/ .
Você precisaria do XCode para compilá-los da fonte (a menos que alguém aqui conheça a distribuição binária do Mac OSX), mas se bem me lembro, não tive problemas ao compilar o pacote.
Eu tenho um SSD da OCZ adaptado ao meu MBP 15 "em meados de 2010 e posso usar o smartctl
comando para monitorar várias estatísticas, incluindo o Total de bytes gravados (chamado aqui Lifetime_Writes), bem como o Indicador de desgaste de mídia (mostrado como porcentagem).
Para ter uma idéia, aqui está o exemplo de saída:
