Sequência para uma revisão completa da bicicleta de estrada

Eu tenho uma bicicleta de estrada que pretendo revisar completamente em breve. Ao longo dos anos, e com várias motos, eu revisei quase todos os componentes, mas nunca consegui fazer isso para uma bicicleta inteira, do começo ao fim.

Existe uma sequência ideal para uma revisão de bicicleta? Ou isso importa?

Eu tenho dois links de lista de verificação de revisão que são ótimos. Uma das listas de verificação que eu modifiquei para uso pessoal e incluí.

A primeira é do United Bicycle Institute ( link do PDF da lista de verificação ) - a UBI é uma das principais escolas de mecânica de bicicletas dos EUA.

Wheel Systems:

Normalmente começo retirando uma moldura. Vou deixar os cabos ligados se não estiver indo tão longe, mas pelo menos desmontar o fone de ouvido e tirar o BB. Quando chegar tão longe, terminarei o quadro e seguirei para as rodas. Retire os rolamentos e verifique as esferas, obtenha novos, se necessário, e reembale os cubos. Também limpo a cassete neste momento, uma vez que está praticamente separada.

Nunca tive pedais que exigissem uma reconstrução, mas acho que o faria depois de colocar as manivelas novamente.

Em seguida, coloque-o novamente.

Começo com uma verificação M básica - o que há de errado com a bicicleta. Liste as coisas que precisam ser feitas. Isso significa uma inspeção minuciosa do quadro quanto a danos / rachaduras - se o quadro é uma baixa da bicicleta, é apenas um doador de peças e despojado.

Começo removendo todos os bits ruins e decido se eles podem ser reparados após uma reconstrução ou se precisam de substituição.

Uma vez que tudo está fora da bicicleta que não funciona, eu faço um julgamento sobre se vale a pena consertar. Evite afundar muito tempo em uma bicicleta, se for marginal. Existem muitas motos por aí e, embora o sentimentalismo e a história ajudem a mover os limites, você ainda precisa ser seletivo.

Trabalhe em cada subsistema, por sua vez. Ou seja, eu tornaria o BB perfeito e depois passaria para manivelas. Em seguida, roda traseira, cassete, desviadores, corrente.

Sempre limpe as coisas antes de trabalhar nelas. Uma bicicleta limpa é mais agradável de se trabalhar. Primeiro, faça as peças sujas - transmissão, cubos de roda, fresagem de rodas, etc.

Deixe os detalhes de acabamento até mais tarde. A sela, a barra, os refletores, os cabos internos para os freios / manetes e os freios estão no final da sequência.

Finalmente, teste a bicicleta. Você deve pedalá-lo por alguns minutos, devagar no início e depois acelerar e testar os freios e as marchas.

Depois de 4-6 semanas, você também precisará ajustar os cabos do freio e do câmbio - eles se acomodam com o uso.
