PostgreSQL: Erro SSL SYSCALL: EOF detectado

Primeiro, procurei e encontrei várias postagens relacionadas a esse erro, e a maioria delas aponta para um problema de RAM ou SSL, tentei superar a possibilidade de SSL adicionando sslmode = disabled na linha de comando:

 psql -U waypoint -d waypoint -W -c "alter table telemetria_data.historico alter clase type smallint, alter valor type real[], alter power type smallint, alter voltaje type real;" -h localhost -v sslmode=disable

Mas a mesma mensagem apareceu:

SSL SYSCALL error: EOF detected
connection to server was lost

Em relação ao possível problema de memória, não sei como solucioná-lo.

A estrutura de dados é a descrita nesta pergunta e, como você pode achar, seria uma consulta de execução muito longa para alcançar a tabela de alteração completa em todas as tabelas herdadas.

Problema realmente alterado para o seguinte:

Alterou as configurações para:

checkpoint_segments = 100       # in logfile segments, min 1, 16MB each
checkpoint_timeout = 30s        # range 30s-1h

Enchi o disco rígido :( Aumentei generosamente o checkpoint_segments, mas não verifiquei primeiro o espaço disponível. Felizmente, estou testando esse procedimento em um ambiente de não produção. Por isso, talvez seja necessário clonar o servidor de produção novamente, ou existe alguma maneira de liberar espaço temporário usado, que está sendo desperdiçado?

Parece um acidente de back-end. Pode ser uma condição de falta de memória. Verifique os logs do servidor postgresql e, se o SO for Linux e o OOM killer estiver ativado, o kernel registrará no momento da falha.

Meu palpite é que você está executando o PostgreSQL na AWS. Nesse caso, você precisa identificar isso na pergunta e nas tags.

O último processo mencionado no despejo do kernel é de fato, awsportanto, parece uma aposta segura

Com relação ao PostgreSQL, isso implica apenas uma falha na conexão

No que diz respeito à resolução de problemas que está provocando oom_killer do aws, você tem duas opções ..

  • Diminuir work_memabaixo do limiar que desencadeia oom_killer. Qualquer que seja a consulta planejada de maneira diferente em torno da diferença de memória ou seja mais lenta, é a que está te segurando.
  • Defina log_statemente leia os últimos problemas de consulta antes da falha de falta de memória.
