Após a atualização para o CentOS 7, não é mais possível efetuar login via LDAP. Com o CentOS 6, usei o pacote pam_ldap que funcionou bem, mas agora o pam_ldap não está mais disponível para a nova versão do CentOS.
A conexão via ldapsearch ainda funciona bem, mas tentar se autenticar via ssh não funciona.
Reinstalei o pacote nss-pam-ldapd e reconfigurei a autenticação via authconfig-tui , mas ele ainda não funciona.
Abaixo, substituo meu nome de usuário por user.name e a base por dc = sub, dc = example, dc = org .
Meu SO host é um CentOS 7. Todas as atualizações disponíveis no momento estão instaladas.

imediato. Eu tentaria depurar o módulo adicionando a debug
opção de log adicionado verbosiry, ie auth sufficient pam_ldap.so use_first_pass debug
