Eu pensei que algo estava errado e tentei verificar as informações do grub, mas o arquivo grub.conf não existe no servidor.
Eu gostaria de fazer duas perguntas.
Como inicializo um novo kernel? como usar o grub.conf do servidor Dedicado godaddy?
Se alguém souber esta solução, por favor me avise.

Os comandos update-grub ou grub2-mkconfig não estão disponíveis no meu VPC.

Você está no CentOS 6, você não teria o grub2-mkconfig, e o update-grub parece ser uma coisa do Ubuntu. Você pode verificar se o novo kernel foi adicionado ao /etc/grub.conf e então você pode precisar executar o grub-install.

O /etc/grub.conf não existe ... o grub_install não existe ... é um servidor de dedicação fornecido pelo GoDaddy ... é personalizado. Não o trate como um servidor Linux comum ...
