Quando faço o download de algo na minha área de trabalho ou insiro um CD ou unidade flash, o ícone aparece na minha área de trabalho. Quando estou executando o conky, o ícone às vezes aparece no canto superior direito, abaixo do conky; onde eu não consigo ver.
Como faço para parar isso?
Meu .conkyrcé colado abaixo. Eu não escrevi tudo sozinho, então não tenho muita certeza do que preciso mudar ou de quais partes são relevantes para essa pergunta em particular ...

As soluções da Conky foram oferecidas, mas talvez essa não seja a melhor maneira de abordá-la. O que realmente quero é impedir que os ícones apareçam nessa parte da janela da área de trabalho: ou seja, quero tornar parte dos bens imóveis da área de trabalho "fora dos limites" para que novos ícones apareçam na área de trabalho.

Não são apenas os ícones de montagem automática: são coisas que eu baixo para a área de trabalho. E é relevante que, para evitar conky, eu queira fazer isso.
