Como faço para urxvt renderizar fontes xft?

Gostaria de saber se existe uma maneira de fazer urxvt renderizar fontes xft:

URxvt.font: xft:Droid Sans Mono Slashed:pixelsize=9:Regular
URxvt.boldFont: xft:Droid Sans Mono Slashed:pixelsize=9:Bold
URxvt.talicFont: xft:Droid Sans Mono Slashed:pixelsize=9:Italic
URxvt.bolditalicFont: xft:Droid Sans Mono Slashed:pixelsize=9:Bold:Italic

Se eu tentar isso, recebo algo como: texto alternativo

Então é muito ruim:

Não tenho certeza se este é um dos motivos. No entanto, eu quero antialias e esse Droid. Existe algum truque aqui?

O urxvt usará uma fonte padrão se não conseguir encontrar o nome da fonte xft especificado. Por exemplo, o seguinte será semelhante à sua captura de tela:

urxvt -fn 'xft:foo'

Para descobrir quais fontes xft você tem disponíveis, execute:

fc-list

Aqui está como eu executo o urxvt com a bela fonte Ubuntu Monospace :

urxvt -fn "xft:Ubuntu Mono:pixelsize=14,style=regular"

isso funciona com caracteres unicode? eu estou tendo alguns problemas com ttyp0, gohufont e esta maneira de fontes especificando

Eu tenho isso no meu .Xdefaultse Droid Sans Mono parece ótimo:

Isso é engraçado porque ambos Xft.rgba: rgb(em vez de none) e Xft.hintstyle: hintslight(e hintfull) desencadeiam o comportamento descrito para mim. Veja unix.stackexchange.com/a/189856/85186
