Como faço para o xrandr detectar duas placas da nvidia: 2 x GTX480, cabeça tripla?

  • Estou executando o Linux Mint 16 (Petra)
  • Estou executando o driver padrão nvidia-319 enviado com a distribuição
  • Eu tenho 2x placas GTX480
  • Eu tenho 3 monitores
  • Usando o driver Nvidia, todos os monitores e GPUs são capturados pelo utilitário proprietário.

No entanto, da mesma forma que no relatório em https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/719768/linux/304-121-ubuntu-14-04-xrandr-1-4-multi-gpu-not-being-detected / quando executo xrandr --listproviders, apenas um único provedor - o primeiro cartão. Eu tenho o xrandr 1.4, então deve poder ver os dois. Se eu configurar uma tela X separada e executar xrandr --listproviders --screen 1, eu posso ver a segunda placa. No entanto, não quero várias telas X; Quero poder fluir perfeitamente entre os monitores.

Eu não quero executar o xinerama, pois é uma dor no pescoço configurar e deve ser substituído pelo xrandr.

Usando o driver nouveau, posso usar todas as três telas exatamente como gostaria, mas o desempenho não é bom.

Então, eu tenho algumas perguntas:

1.) Esse comportamento é intencional ou é um bug? Observo em http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/319.12/README/randr14.html que o driver suporta apenas o recurso Source Output; isso me impediria de ver dois fornecedores de cartões diferentes no xrandr?

2.) Se o primeiro for verdadeiro, existe uma maneira de solucionar isso?

3.) Eu brinquei com várias opções basemosaicas, sem sucesso

Martin - Configuração muito semelhante do meu lado, exceto com um par de nvidia GT9800 - por volta de 2008! Também um Intel HD4000 integrado (desativado na BIOS). O xrandr mostrou apenas 1 gpu, embora todas as outras ferramentas relacionadas ao sistema tenham relatado os dois corretamente. ubuntu 14.04 lts beta 2, proprietário da nvidia 331.28

A correção do Santo Graal para mim ontem à noite foi: Base Mosaic! Esvazie xorg.conf, nvidia x server settings-> Habilite o Mosaico Base e ative cada exibição detectada. Tudo simplesmente funciona! configuração rápida para vários monitores, multi-gpu e multi-cabeças, com 1 xscreen! Meus 3 monitores são diferentes resoluções e um é girado em retrato. Até as configurações do ubuntu - exibe corretamente os três monitores.

Sugiro atualizar para os drivers proprietários da nvidia 331.28, descompacte o xorg.conf e tente o Mosaic básico novamente.

Essa discussão me ajudou muito, mas havia muito mais etapas do que as descritas na resposta, então pensei em deixar um comentário com as etapas detalhadas que funcionaram para mim.

  1. Use o aplicativo “Driver Manger” em “System Settings” para selecionar “nvidia-346” como o driver (não “nvidia-346-updates”). Clique em "Aplicar alterações". Quando o aplicativo terminar de processar, nada acontecerá (nada será instalado, nenhum prompt será exibido, nenhuma mensagem será exibida). Reinicie o computador (isso é necessário porque o driver da NVIDIA modifica o kernel aparentemente e apenas uma reinicialização completa do sistema fará com que a instalação seja concluída).
  2. Quando o Linux Mint for iniciado após a reinicialização, o Cinnamon será interrompido e apenas 2 de seus monitores funcionarão. Não se preocupe em tentar consertar o Cinnamon, isso apenas o levará a um caminho de instalações inúteis.
  3. Inicie o aplicativo "Terminal". Isso será complicado quando o Cinnamon estiver quebrado, porque "Terminal" está misteriosamente ausente da lista de Aplicativos na barra de tarefas! E clicar com o botão direito na área de trabalho também está quebrado. A única maneira que encontrei para iniciá-lo é usar o atalho criado na Etapa 1 ou o atalho de teclado Alt + F2. Quando uma janela é exibida, solicitando que você digite um comando para executar - use "sudo ls" e marque a caixa de seleção "Usar terminal". Quando um terminal é iniciado, use o atalho de teclado Ctrl + Shift + T para abrir uma nova guia do terminal. Agora você pode fechar a guia original que está aguardando sua senha do sudo. (Você precisará fazer isso sempre que quiser iniciar uma nova janela do terminal).

  4. No terminal, execute estes comandos:

  5. Reinicie o computador. Não há botão da interface do usuário para fazer isso, portanto você precisará executar sudo reboot.

  6. Quando o computador reiniciar, as coisas ainda estarão quebradas. Não tenho certeza sobre as etapas 7 e 8. Elas podem não ser necessárias, mas fiz isso enquanto tentava descobrir o que havia de errado, incluindo-as aqui apenas por precaução.

  7. Em seguida, corra sudo gedit /etc/default/grub. No editor, encontre a linha que a define GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULTe altere para:

    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset"

  8. Agora, no Terminal, execute o seguinte:

  9. Agora use sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.confpara editar seu arquivo X Config. Esta etapa é péssima porque não há uma GUI agradável para editar este arquivo de configuração e se você cometer um erro e corromper esse arquivo - na próxima vez que reiniciar - você não terá mais a GUI e, possivelmente, nem um console de trabalho.
