Mantenha uma caixa de diálogo Zenity sempre no topo em primeiro plano

Existe uma maneira de detectar que um Zenitydiálogo perdeu o foco?

Gostaria de manter a caixa de diálogo em primeiro plano, a menos que o usuário pressione ESC.

Você pode ter problemas se executar isso como um trabalho cron. O ambiente do Cron não está ciente do seu monitor X, dbus ou desktop e não exibirá a caixa zenity nem a manterá em cima. Adicionando DISPLAY =: 0 antes de ambos wmctrl e zenity resolve o problema:

(sleep 1 && DISPLAY=:0 wmctrl -F -a "I am on top" -b add,above) & (DISPLAY=:0 zenity --info --title="I am on top" --text="How to help Zenity to get focus and be always on top")

Essa solução é basicamente a mesma de @Jan, mas usa o PID em vez do título da janela para identificar a janela e, além disso, é compatível com o Bourne Shell (-> não requer bash).
